 We now have our own kitchen and our own in-house chef.

 

When you think about it, all the great hall around have their own kitchen and their own chef.

We have a great hall and yes we now have our own kitchen and chef,

for the time being the kitchen is located 5 minutes from the greenhouses,

but

ultimately the kitchen will be build here but this is still a few years away.

Why this change?

Well, we can give you better service, better food as well as upgrading every thing like linen, plates and glasses etc. This for the smallest increase in cost because we are concentrating only on this hall not catering in general.

I will introduce you to our new in house chef and staff shortly, some of you know them well for other's they will be a new face but trust me I would not put all my fait in this chef if I did not believe that he would be a great asset to the Madsen's greenhouse Banquet.

We will continue to as well as increase the things we can do for you that makes a wedding here so memorable but also a relaxed experience.

   Our new chef is the very well known Leo Morrello

of Morello's Catering.

Leo is born in Canada of Italian parents,

did his apprenticeship at Windsor Arms Hotel in Toronto,

as you might know this Hotel has 3 very well known eateries

"Three Small Rooms"." Courtyard Cafe"and "Noodles"

Leo went on to become Souse Chef at Millcroft Inn in Acton, Ont.

It was here he in 1971 met his future wife Yvonne.

From there he went to Deer Park Inn in Stouffville, Ont. where he was Exe.Chef for seven years.

In 1986 Leo and Yvonne opened an restaurant in Newmarket named

"Morrello's Fine Food"

After a run of about 10 years in the restaurant business they sold the restaurant and concentrated sole on catering.

They have 23 year's in the catering business.

Yvonne is the Kitchen Manager and has been in the food business as many year as her husband Leo.

Paul

Paul is Yvonne's son and is the floor manager over seeing all the floor staff.
