Welcome, you are about to discover the best and most unique place in Ontario in witch to hold your wedding or anniversary party. The Madsen's Greenhouses in Newmarket Ontario is an unique tropical landscaped greenhouse in witch the operators and owners have held weddings for almost 20 years. The greenhouses is not only unique in the way that they are landscaped, but also that it is one of if not the only banquet facilities there where specific build for weddings. In the day light it is an tropical garden with huge's living trees and a running water fall. But at night it transforms in to an magical place with stunning mood lightning witch create a very romantic relaxed atmosphere, an atmosphere that all your guest will surely appreciate. As well as the banquet facilities we also offer you both an indoor and out door chapel. Both are spectacular beautiful and do not need any decorating they are naturally beautiful as they are. As any other place, our greenhouses have some minuses as well as plusses. I will be very honest and outline what you might consider an minus. The plusses speaks for them self,ones you see the place you can't help falling in love with it. Please read e mail at bottom of page. First it is a greenhouse build to grow plants in, designed to let as much sunlight in as possibly. This is great fore the large trees we have, but the sun also create heat. Heat could be a problem for you, doug in all the year;s that we have done weddings, we have done more in the summer that any other times of year (see calendar) and 90% of all our business comes from referrals. But it is NOT air conditioned. But in the hot summer months you have the use of the patio's and garden. This is where the outdoor chapel is located, right after your outdoor service, you and your guests mingle on the patio where the hors 'doves and drinks will be served to 7pm when you at that time will be called in to dinner. This gives you breathing room in some of the hottest hours of the day. After 7pm it is usually dinner jacket time. In the winter the greenhouses are heated by the way of natural gas fired radiant heaters located in the ceiling. This creates some hot and some cold spots, we know where they are and avoid to locate tables at those places this is not a big deal. We understand it is not for every one but you owe it to your self to visit us and lets have a chat and we can tell you all about it as well as show you around, it is always an good thing to look at more than one place before making up your mind. We have both been there for a wedding reception before and we both fell in love with the place. We are not getting married till 2011,Sunday May 7th to be exact, and we where wondering when you would be accepting booking for then? this is followed by an explanation of why this day is so important to them etc., but I thought to share this e mail with you I think it is so heart warming to hear that the both love the place so much that they had to book it for theirs wedding and to do it so far in advance so they could be sure to get it. thank you Ole
